What's true of every brick is not automatically true of the wall.
An argument that a property held by each individual part of a group must also be held by the group as a whole. Each part having the property may be entirely accurate. What breaks is the assumption that properties simply add up: a whole can behave in ways none of its parts do on their own, and treating the group as a scaled-up version of one member skips the step where that would actually need to be shown.
