The Evidence Vault stores notes, saved pages, files, and verification worksheets on this device only. Nothing leaves your browser. The encryption happens in your device, so Deceit cannot read it, reset it, or recover it if you forget the passphrase.

Choose a passphrase you have not used anywhere else. Make it long and varied. There is no “forgot password” button.

Everything stays encrypted. Anyone who gets this file still needs your passphrase. Keep it as a backup or import it on another device.
